“They’re too busy having babies and getting married” – the title of one of my books.
My newly found friend asked why I took him to the Florence & the Machine concert – and my answer was that I didn’t know anyone else who’d want to go who I wanted to take. But it’s not because I don’t have friends – though it’s true. I can count the number of friends I have on one hand.
But the real answer is: everyone I grew up with – they’re too busy having babies and getting married!
